snow-111518-2FBWe are in the midst of a potentially crippling ice storm for parts of NC.  The Northern NC Mountains will potentially see a very heavy accumulation of ice and sleet from late Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon.  The wintry mix combined with some gusty winds would cause scattered to numerous power outages in many areas.  Areas that are along and north of I-85 in NC and possibly the NW part of SC, will be at risk of at least a trace of ice accumulation and amounts will increase the further north and west you go.

If you will be traveling in these areas Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon, please exercise extreme caution and slow down on the roads.  Bridges and overpasses will be the first to freeze over and the morning rush hour could become very treacherous during the commute Thursday morning.  We provide our members text and email alerts for hazardous conditions and early warning of expected winter weather.  Our team first mentioned this winter weather possibility early last week and issued our first call map early on Monday for the impending storm.  Join up today and get maps with amounts of ice expected (Not shown on Facebook) and many other benefits.  Click the link below to join today!
