An interesting area in the tropics has emerged just off the Carolina’s coast and many weather models are saying it is going to come back into the NC Coast next Tuesday or Wednesday.  This is a very possible scenario but will NOT be the menace that was once Florence this time.  I do see the possibility of some heavier rainfall totals in extreme Eastern NC and the Outer Banks but on the order of 1-3” mainly with some isolated 5-6” amounts.  This will not help the cleanup effort and is something that we will watch very closely and provide a quick update on Saturday with more information if needed.
