It has been rather nice the last several days, but the heat and humidity are slowly creeping back up. The good news is the highs look to be widespread upper 80’s to lower 90’s for the majority of the viewing area. Southern Georgia could be slightly warmer but overall by July standards, not too bad. We are watching as Tropical Storm and soon to be Hurricane Chris just barely misses the Outer Banks of NC. Those areas will still see high surf, gusty winds and a risk of rip currents. Those planning to travel in these areas need to heed warnings posted on area beaches. Lastly, we are watching the remnants of Hurricane Beryl move across the Caribbean. These remnants could reorganize off the Southeast Coast this week and provide more effects as Chris is providing now. We will monitor this and let you know of any changes.
